Iโm looking to recruit 6 Computer Science PhD students to join my research group, VinNLP, at VinUniversity, Hanoi.
If you’re passionate about Natural Language Processing (NLP) โ particularly LLMs, low-resource languages, domain-specific NLP, or downstream NLP tasks โ this is an excellent opportunity to undertake a fully funded PhD while contributing to impactful research in a dynamic, international lab.

– Full tuition fee waiver (worth ~$40,000 USD per year)
– Monthly stipend of 30,000,000 VND (~$1,200 USD), subject to final confirmation

Applicants of ๐ฎ๐ป๐ ๐ป๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป๐ฎ๐น๐ถ๐๐ are welcome. All candidates must meet the following criteria:
1- A Bachelorโs or Masterโs degree in Computer Science or a related field (Excellent classification or higher)
2- Demonstrated research experience through a dissertation/thesis, publications, or at least 2 years as a researcher or lecturer
3- A brief research proposal aligned with NLP (following the official guidelines: see below)

– For non-native English speakers: IELTS 6.5+ (or equivalent)
– Conditional admission possible with IELTS 5.5+, with a 12-month window to reach 6.5
๐ขAll PhD students are also expected to contribute as Research Assistants (RA) and Teaching Assistants (TA) at VinUniversity.
